Creatures die when you paint the terrain on top of them, but that's not the most dramatic demise you can grant in WorldBox. And there are many ways in which you can do that. However these humans won't build the Giza pyramids any time soon, so there's no reason to wait before blowing up their little set-up to smithereens. Finally, you can add in humans, which will begin building settlements and expand them across the landmass. I don't know what piranha eat, but they're a welcome addition to the scenery. Sheep will graze the grasslands, leaving bare soil behind and wolves will hunt and eat the sheep. Animals will affect the environment as well. There isn't much variety, but you can add in some sheep and wolves on land and several piranhas near the shore. You can also populate your world with living things. Furthermore, there is a handful of tools that let you add and remove water, insofar as to allow the creation of mountainous lakes as well as empty basins. The WorldBox sandbox simulates three levels of water depth and four levels of terrain height, each piling up as you might expect: mountains cover up forests, which cover up soil, which sits on top of sand, which finally guards against shallow water. Some materials are inert, while others are active and interact with the environment in multiple ways.
You're using various tools to drop/paint from a top-down perspective. As I was browsing the gallery, I thought to myself: " This is sooo similar to that powder game, just infinitely cooler!" I was paraphrasing myself, but the essence is true. What got me to try WorldBox were the stunning screenshots on the PlayStore, featuring tropical-looking islands with golden beaches, lush vegetation, and menacing lava-spewing volcanoes. Much like with other sandbox apps, there is no intrinsic purpose whatsoever in playing, the only impetus being your creative drive. WorldBox is not the fanciest nor the most original of titles. Would a creator god be amazed by his creation? How fast would he become bored? Would he, then, rain down fire and brimstone, just for the sake of it? Would he discard it for a fresh start?
